Anning Class
Year 3
Welcome to Anning Class. Our creative and talented class are taught by Mr Percy, alongside our wonderful team of teaching assistants: Mrs Starr and Mrs Ross.
Our class is proudly named after the fossil hunter Mary Anning. She was born in the seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset in 1799.
Mary went on to become a world-famous scientist and make some very important discoveries, including the first-ever Plesiosaur skeleton! Unfortunately, she wasn’t taken seriously as a scientist in her lifetime because she was a lady and from a poor background.
Today, Mary is recognised as one of the greatest fossil hunter of all time!
In Anning class, we always strive to respect, care and inspire one another.
