Head’s Welcome

Welcome to Westbury CE Junior School!  We are a thriving school in the heart of a community of which we are very proud.

As Headteacher, I feel blessed in having a school community, which is focused on developing the core values of respect, care and inspiration. The results of this drive are self-evident as not only do we push the children academically, but also we encourage them to grow as people both socially and emotionally. The children, staff and governors are happy here.

At our school, there is a tremendous commitment from all of the staff to work with the children to help them achieve to the best of their ability.  In 2019, the then leader of Wiltshire Council, Baroness Scott, commented on her visit: “The school has become a beacon in the community for aspiration.”

Whilst with us, children will experience an inspiring, wide and varied curriculum, which includes many educational visits.  We care and support all of the children in our school in a safe, happy and Christian environment. ‘I feel that this is my second home as the ethos is not just words – the Christian values are evident for all to see.’ Year 4 Parent.

Most of our children arrive from Westbury Infant School and go on to Matravers School.  Our excellent communication and liaison with both of these schools ensures that the transition is as smooth as possible.

We have an open-door policy and welcome any further enquiries you may have.

Thank you for your interest in Westbury Juniors and I look forward to a successful partnership with home and school.

Yours faithfully
