Romans in Devizes!

Year 3 marched off to Devizes (in a coach!) heading for the Wiltshire Museum to bring together all their learning this year in history, from the Bronze Age to The Romans invasion of Britain.

We started the morning following a trail around the museum, collecting stamps at different exhibits and solving puzzles as we went around. This was followed by a session handling artefacts – some replicas and some really from the time! After lunch, we made mosaics from broken tiles which will be grouted and delivered back to the school. In addition to these, we all made golden Celtic brooches.  What a busy and enjoyable day for both children and the adults alike. Thank you Wiltshire Museum!
