Art
Art is taught through carefully selected units across Years 3 to 6, with the Westbury Curriculum Overview determining the placement and context of each unit. AccessArt principles underpin the development of pupils’ knowledge and skills, ensuring clear progression throughout the curriculum.
Pupils develop their understanding through drawing and sketchbooks, surface and colour, working in three dimensions, creative thinking, making and responding to artists. Through a range of carefully planned experiences, children are encouraged to experiment, develop their own ideas and build confidence as creative practitioners.
