Kind, Calm & Polite

At WJS, we follow three school rules- we are kind, calm and polite.

We follow these rules throughout the school day. They follow us in the classrooms, corridors, hall and playground.

Why kind, calm, polite?

Kindness fosters respect, reduces bullying, and creates a positive learning environment. By promoting empathy and supportive relationships, kindness enhances pupil engagement and motivation, leading to better academic outcomes. Ultimately, it builds a strong, inclusive community where all students feel valued and safe.

Calm pupils, staff and climate helps create a safe, focused learning environment. When pupils are calm, they can listen, think and respect each other, reducing conflicts and distractions. This atmosphere makes school a positive place for growth and development.

Politeness creates a positive environment where everyone feels valued and safe. Politeness helps prevent conflicts, encourages kindness, and improves communication between students, teachers, and staff. When everyone is polite, the school becomes a welcoming place where learning and friendships thrive.
